My dad’s love for hockey influenced me to start playing at a young age. I found a passion for the game as well and had some awesome experiences playing for the Bismarck Blizzard. I learned a lot about hard work, dedication and perseverance. I did experience a few minor injuries in my hockey career which influenced my interest in physical therapy. My passion is to improve a person’s quality of life allowing them to engage in activities that provide fulfillment to their daily lives. I attended and received my doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Mary and started my career in an acute hospital setting. I'm excited to be working at Focus in the outpatient setting, seeing patients through their healing process.
I've since had an opportunity to attend a lymphedema certification course at Mercy Medical in Merced, California. I feel privileged to hold a certification in lymphedema as the treatment is very specialized. One of the aspects I have always liked about physical therapy is the variety of injuries we see here at Focus. I enjoy treating all conditions, especially shoulder and extremities.
Growing up in the Bismarck area has given me a lot of appreciation for the outdoors, which I share with my husband. We love being close to his family farm and the beautiful Badlands. We are excited to share the love of camping, fishing, and hunting with our growing family.
